How Do You Input Both Date And Time In Parameters? [ID 275785.1]

This problem can occur on any platform.

Goal

How can you input both date and time value in parameters which are based on the database date field?
When you try to input both date and time value in the parameter it errors out.
For example with the following error:
Invalid value "01-DEC-2003 11:11:11" for parameter ""
Just inputting date value works fine.

Fix

Change the Format mask of the item in the Admin Edition to DD-Mon-YY HR24:MI:SS and also change the format mask in the Desktop edition to same.
In the Discoverer report, select the item "" and then right click.
Select the property "Format Data..." -> Date tab -> Custom
and 'Add' the following format if you do not have already,
DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS
